There are many nationalities that live here and you will be exposed to different cultures and people have different ways of doing things I will NEVER get used to people trying to get into a lift before they have let those exiting out but these are small issues compared to the biggest safety concerns for solo females.

Abu Dhabi and Dubai are up there as some of the safest cities in the world. As with travel anywhere in the world, ensure you have an extensive travel insurance policy medical is expensive here , save your Embassy Number in your phone as well as the local emergency numbers Police Emergency- , Police Non Emergency- , Ambulance- , Fire I just need to correct Latimer on one point.

It's not several thousand expat women. It's several hundred thousand expat women who live in Dubai. Actually, probably even in the millions when you factor in all nationalities.
